The Tunes
Hello Musicians!  This is the start of a page on how tunes will be organized.  The tune of the month appear as a 3-month progressive list, followed by tunes that have been played and other possible tunes.
Session Format: The sessions are round-robin style.  Each participant may pick a tune from the list, present a new tune, or pass.  If you have a new tune to introduce and have sheet music, please bring about 15 copies.  About half-way through the session (7 pm) we will play the current Tune of the Month and the previous two Tunes of the Month.  For example, in July we will play the tunes from July, June, and May.
3. Tune of the Month (July) - Announced in June 2025 and to be featured in July 2025, our tune is Ashokan Farewell in the key of D. Try to memorize the melody before the July 23 session (About, Score, Annotated Score, YouTube - vocals, YouTube - solo, YouTube - band)
2. Tune of the Month (June) - Announced in May 2025 and to be featured in June 2025, our tune is Hökpers Vals in Dm.  Try to memorize the melody before the June 25 session. (AboutScore, YouTube, YouTube)
1. Tune of the Month (May) - Announced in April 2025 and featured at our May 28, 2025. Our first Tune of the Month was Elsey's Waltz in D.  It is a fairly simple tune that is well-known, but not often played in these parts.  (About, Score, Harmony, YouTube, YouTube)
