In this class you will build on your English Country Dance skills by learning the elegant double figure eight and other advanced figures. The class refines timing, transitions, and connection, enhancing grace and confidence in more intricate dances. Use the skills learned to enjoy monthly dances in Missoula and the April 25, 2026, Jane Austen Ball.*
Prerequisite: "Beginning Traditional Dance" or similar experience.

Beginning Traditional English Dance
This class explores the elegance and community spirit of English Country Dance, with graceful patterns and lively rhythms from 17th–19th century England. Dancers learn basic figures, formations, and footwork in longways sets and circles, accompanied by lyrical traditional music. No partner or experience required. Comfortable indoor shoes and a water bottle recommended. Use the skills learned to enjoy monthly dances in Missoula and the April 25, 2026, Jane Austen Ball.*
