We are creating Bear Hug Folk Party 2021 with more creativity and home-grown swing than usual!

This year, Bear Hug will not feature a caller or band but will use the creative input of our local selves. We can play music, canoe, swim, chat, read on the shore, and create community folk art.  We will know by July 1st if the Methodist Camp is confirmed for our Bear Hug Folk Party 2021.  If it is confirmed, here is the current plan: 

• Bear Hug Folk Party at Flathead Lake United Methodist Camp, September 10th - 12th.

• Camp costs $115 per person for cabin rental and $100
  ($15 discount) per person if you tent camp or bring an RV.

• Food is fully on your own.  Kitchens are available.

• Max number of participants is currently 25 and that
  number will increase if the risk allows. 

• Registration opens Saturday, July 10th, at 12 noon at https://www.missoulafolk.org.  Participants will be
  accepted in the order applications are received.  We will
  maintain a waiting list.

• If you pay for registration and we have to cancel camp,
  your money will be refunded. 

• Camper-led activities are encouraged.

• We will follow current government-based, public
  health recommendations for COVID-19.  We may
  require vaccination records, masks, distancing and
  outdoor activities, depending on the guidelines.

• Contra and other social dancing are not currently
  planned, but may occur if deemed safe.
